Director of Data & Research
Richard spearheads the Charter Center’s collection and analysis of charter school data and research in order to guide policy discussions, inform the public dialogue and support school leadership. Prior to joining the Charter Center, Richard had a long and productive career in the NYC Department of Education. Most recently, Richard served as Director of Strategic Planning and Accountability. He also previously served as Executive Director for ELL Data, Policy, and Compliance, and Regional Senior Assessment Coordinator. Richard started his career as an ESL teacher. Richard holds an M.S. in Educational Administration, and an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
