(New York, NY) – The Collaborative for Inclusive Education, an initiative of the New York City Charter School Center, today kicked off its Annual Education Conference: ‘Reflect, Rethink, Reimagine’, bringing together hundreds of educators from across the city to discuss best practices and lessons learned from the first in-person school year after the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of centering the needs of historically underserved communities and empowering schools to build high-quality, inclusive learning environments.

“We know this past school year was incredibly challenging for educators, many of whom transitioned back to full-time, in-person instruction while also continuing to navigate the pandemic and operate with an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ mindset on a daily basis,” said Melissa Katz, Director at the Collaborative for Inclusive Education. “We hope this conference will serve as a space where educators can take a breath, reflect on the past year, and walk away with actionable next steps to create truly equitable learning environments that serve all students.”
The Annual Education Conference, presented in a virtual format this year, will feature keynote addresses from Award-Winning Author and Social Justice Scholar Monique W. Morris, SupportEd President Diane Staehr Fenner, and Love-Teach-Bless Founder Nita Creekmore. If you would like to view the full conference agenda, click here.
