Overall, New York City public charter schools saw a 7% enrollment growth (nearly 10,000 students) across the board, continuing a five-year trend.

Enrollment increased in all subgroups with a notable 16% increase in enrollment of English Language Learners (multi-lingual learners) – demonstrating the strong, inter-borough support for charter schools, and a recognition of the sector’s commitment to providing quality education for all students.
