STATEMENT FROM NYC CHARTER SCHOOL CENTER CEO JAMES MERRIMAN ON 2018 NEW YORK STATE BUDGET AGREEMENT

“Charter students and families in all five boroughs will be thanking Governor Cuomo and legislative leaders for this year’s budget agreement. As a result of Albany’s leadership, public charter schools’ funding will remain on pace with increases in funding for their district school peers. We’re grateful for their commitment to ensuring all students have access to a great public education, and we look forward to advocating for our city’s 114,000 charter school students through the rest of this year’s legislative session.”
