TOMORROW: NY’S LEADING CHARTER SCHOOL ADVOCACY GROUPS JOIN TOGETHER WITH PARENTS TO DEMAND ALBANY ELIMINATE CHARTER CAP THIS SESSION

With Only 15 Days Left in Legislative Session NY Charter School Parents, Educators Demand Elimination of Charter Cap

Joined by NYC Charter School Center, Families for Excellent Schools, Students First, Northeast Charter School Network & Coalition of Community Charter Schools

New York, NY – In a demonstration of sector unity, tomorrow, Friday, May 15 at 11:00am on the Steps of City Hall, the New York City Charter School Center, Families for Excellent Schools, Students First NY, Northeast Charter School Network, and the Coalition of Community Charter Schools will join public charter school parents, educators and advocates in calling on the State Assembly and Mayor de Blasio to support the elimination of an arbitrary charter cap – and to clear the way for more great public school options.
