“We deeply appreciate Governor Cuomo’s acknowledgment, both in his speech and his proposed budget, that charter schools play a vital role in the public education system, particularly for our highest needs students. In doing so, he is putting children before politics – as he has consistently done year after year. His proposals would support the continued development of New York’s charter schools and are good news and sound policy. We urge both houses of the state legislature to join the Governor in enacting this budget.”
