Thursday December 08, 2022  /  9:30am -

In this two-session series, we will explore the latest understanding of how the Autistic brain works and implications for behavior support, curriculum and instruction, and classroom/school culture. Participants will explore tools to develop 1) autistic-learner profiles, 2) autistic-learner support plans to address specific individual needs (e.g., physiology, interoception, sensory, communication, cognition, and energy/emotional regulation), and 3) educational programming considerations for autistic learners, with an emphasis on learner agency, communication, curriculum, and culture. Neurodiversity affirming practices will be emphasized in these sessions.
